(please note that there is also another Electra Hotel in Athens, but it is not 'Palace', so make sure the taxi driver sees the address)
Directions from airport to Hotel:
Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport and they can take you directly to the hotel. Cost should be about 30-40 euro (but I am just guestimating). Total travel time could be about an hour, depending on traffic (very unpredictable).
Metro: Recommended if you are travelling light. Metro station is outside airport terminal building. There are signs pointing the way. Take Metro Line 3. Every half hour leaving from airport to Monastiraki, from 6:30 until 20:30. Get off at Syntagma station (one stop before Monastiraki). Approximate time of travel 42 minutes. Alternative metro stops are Monastiraki and Acropolis, but distance to hotel is slightly larger.
From Syntagma you have to walk to the hotel. Directions:
With the Parliament building behind you, walk downhill away from it, cross the square and turn left at the second street after the square (Voulis Street, in greek spelled BOULHS). Walk along Voulis street until you find Navarchou Nikodimou street. Turn right. You are there. Total distance approximately 500 meters. See map (SyntagmaToHotel.jpg).

Directions from Hotel:
Exit hotel and turn right. Walk downhill along N. Nikodimou street. Continue along Flessa street and then along Lisiou street. Turn left when you reach Mnisikleous street. The tavern is up a flight of steps. Total distance approximately 350 meters. See map (HotelToTavern.jpg).
General Info:
Weather: Rains expected. Temperature should be around 10 degrees.
Plaka: The area below the Acropolis. Like a labyrinth, easy to get lost. Ask for a map from the hotel.
Metro: Closest metro station to hotel is Syntagma, with good connections. Other stations: Monastiraki and Acropolis.
Acropolis: Open 08:00 to 14:30. Sundays free.
Archaeological Museum: Mondays 13:00 to 19:30, Tuesday-Sunday 08:30 to 15:00. Sundays free.
Cycladic Art museum: Closed Tuesdays. Other days: 10:00 to 17:00, Thursdays 10:00 to 20:00. Address: N. Douka 4, Kolonaki (walking distance from Syntagma).
